Bibetech’s new organic line is born from a commitment by the company that wants to make a concrete contribution to protecting the environment. In recent years we have invested heavily in research & development and will certainly continue to do so, increasingly orienting our production towards eco-sustainability. In our Pianezze plant, in fact, we have been producing compostable disposable products in biopolymers for some time now.

Bio-compostable plastic: an alternative to traditional plastic.

For each disposable product (tableware, ice cream sticks, etc.) in traditional plastic, Bibetech offers the bio-compostable alternative in Mater-Bi.

What is Mater-Bi

Mater-Bi is one of the new bioplastics, mainly obtained from vegetable starches, completely biodegradable and compostable according to the European standard EN 13432.
Precisely for these characteristics, the use of Mater-Bi allows to optimize the management of organic waste, reduce the environmental impact guaranteeing significant advantages throughout the production-consumption-disposal cycle.
It is important to know that compostable products in biopolymers take about six months to completely degrade once correctly disposed of.
Mater-Bi has characteristics and properties of use completely similar to traditional plastics in terms of resistance (it can resist up to 80°) and functionality. Precisely for this reason it is suitable to replace plastic in many areas. At Bibetech we use Mater-Bi for the production of compostable disposable products.

Our short-term goal
